Mark your calendar for the 17th annual Colchester Walleye Derby which will be held Saturday, June 13, 2009.
The 16th annual Colchester Walleye Derby was held Saturday, June 7, 2008. This derby is the largest single day Walleye Derby in Southern Ontario.
Lake Erie was a little rough at the start of the derby but it quickly calmed down and it was a georgious day fishing on the lake.
Perch Dinner was available for $7.50 / plate, served from 2:00 to 5:30 pm. Plans are already underway for the Ontario Commercial Fisheries’ Association to provide this dinner at the derby in 2009.
Perch dinner donated and served by the Ontario Commercial Fisheries’ Association. All proceeds to the Harrow Colchester South Lions community projects.
The Kinsmen hosted the hospitality tent for the 16th year with food and beverages. A DJ entertained the crowd following the derby awards and prizes.
We are proud to be the largest single day derby in Southern Ontario. Prizes total over $5,500.
Our Colchester Walleye Derby includes fishermen from far and near including London, Kitchener-Waterloo, Goderich, Michigan, Ohio and our local Essex County.
